Developing Leaders On and Off the Field
Greetings from Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School athletics. Our sports program is a great way for students to enjoy the spirit of competition in a safe, structured environment, while using their talents for the glory of God.
Aside from gaining fundamental athletic skills, students learn the value of practice, preparation and perseverance, how to work together to achieve a common goal, and how to succeed and fail with grace.
They’ll learn that the process is more important than the outcome, and take with them intangible skills that will be benefit them in all areas of life.
Together, as parents, guardians and coaches, we will work together to inspire student athletes to live as leaders on and off the field, and as disciples of Christ. Your support, however, is by far the most influential to their motivation, perceived competence and overall enjoyment.
By taking a positive approach to your child’s upcoming season, including before, during and after games, you’ll be amazed with their results and personal growth. I’m looking forward to working together with you and your child this season.
