At Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School, we believe the arts are a vital aspect of a child’s development – that’s why we’re proud to offer our students a wide array of vibrant visual and performing arts opportunities.
Band
A unique part of STE culture is our Pipe Band. Students may begin learning to play the bagpipes or drums in fourth grade.
As part of the curriculum for Lower School and an elective for higher grades, Highland Dance is a unique way for students to receive the benefits of physical exercise, muscle control, and coordination.
In addition to having music as part of the Lower School curriculum, we offer our students the opportunity to participate in our Lower, Middle, and Upper School choirs.
Beginning in Lower School, students have the option to take instruction in violin, viola, or cello. Our string orchestras provide regular performance opportunities.
Students can be involved in our theatre productions beginning in Lower School. We offer plenty of opportunities for students to shine — onstage and off.
Art is a regular part of students’ schedules starting in Kindergarten. Students in Lower School gain a foundation in drawing and design that they can elect to build on in Middle and Upper School.
