Saint Thomas' Episcopal School

Kindergarten

BUILDING ON A FIRM FOUNDATION

Kindergarten at Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School is the first step toward a well-rounded, classical education with Christian values.

With small class sizes, personalized attention, and stimulating instruction, we ensure children are well-prepared for subsequent Lower School grades — academically, mentally, and emotionally.

Class features a daily worship service, where students memorize selected Bible verses, sing hymns of praise, and listen to a Bible story, which complements their daily curriculum.

The coursework is focused on the study and practical application of phonetics-based reading instruction, mathematics, spelling, handwriting, lab science, Spanish, and history, as well as character building exercises.

In addition to academics, students are introduced to our vibrant performing and visual arts program, and begin participation in physical education.

Children entering kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the academic year.

For more information on our kindergarten curriculum, see our Lower School curriculum document.
