Yearbook
Students in this class learn the fundamentals of journalism as well as modern digital publishing and graphics techniques while producing a yearbook for all STE students - grades kindergarten through 12. The course emphasizes careful layout, good writing, and substantive photography for a yearbook which has enduring content as well as award-winning design.
Students may join the yearbook staff starting in the 9th grade. Yearbook students participate in all aspects of publishing the book, including: selling ads, taking photographs, researching and writing stories, and designing and creating page spreads. The more experienced and talented students have the opportunity to become editors in their junior and senior years. Editors gain leadership experience which give them an invaluable edge for college admission and beyond.
Prerequisite: Advisor approval
