Theatrical Performance
The St. Thomas' theatre department offers two productions each school year... one in the fall and one in the spring. One of these shows is usually a classical play such as Tartuffe by Moliere or A Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare. STE students have also recently performed Our Town and Arsenic and Old Lace.
Open auditions are held for sixth through twelfth graders who wish to be involved as actors in these productions. Students may also participate in the technical crew who work with scenery, lighting, sound, etc.
Rehearsals are typically occur after school, with performances held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings of one weekend.
The school also has a chapter of the International Thespian Society, an honorary theatre group. High school students are eligible to be selected for membership after participating in the school's theatre program.
