The library is open during the academic year Monday-Thursday 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Library Mission
At the Robinson Memorial Library we intentionally:

provide services and information to support the academic, artistic and recreational needs of the staff, students, and broader school community

promote literature appreciation and information skills

provide an academically stimulating environment, which encourages a love of reading and learning
Our aim is to educate and nurture patrons to read for pleasure and to develop the necessary skills to use information, ideas, and technology ethically, creatively, and critically in order to make intelligent decisions and develop into life long-learners.
Library Resources
Our school library provides print and online resources to support the St. Thomas' curriculum, to foster the enjoyment of reading, to teach character through responsible library behavior, and to cultivate the life-long learner. The library subscribes to Gale databases for all students and Questia (personal online library available at www.questia.com ) for high school students.
Programs and Lessons
Students (K-5) participate in bi-weekly class visits to the library to learn library skills, book care, and story time. Grades 3 through 6 participate in the Texas State Bluebonnet Reading Program. Kindergarten Bridge and grades K through 3 participate in the Book It Reading Program complementing each teacher's class reading goals.
Grades 6 through 12 participate in periodic research familiarization lessons to complement specific class assigned projects. Research sources include Gale Databases, Questia (9-12th grades), Houston Public Library databases and links posted on the St. Thomas' Library web page in Edline.

The Robinson Memorial Library Collection houses the lower, middle and upper school collections, containing approximately 15,000 materials including books, periodicals, videos, and audio materials.
