Thespian Society

Purpose

The International Thespian Society is a group of students who are interested in promoting quality theatre in our school. Thespian Society members have fundraisers throughout the year to help obtain funds for field trips to see professional theatre at the Alley Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars, Main Street Theatre and many other community theatres in the Houston area.

Membership Criteria

To be a Thespian Society member, one must earn 10 points by participating in various productions or functions throughout the year. A Thespian Society Induction Ceremony held in the spring will call forth all these individuals and honor them for their inspired service. Points continue to accumulate and students with the highest ponts will also be honored at the ceremony for their extraordinary service.

The Thespian Society Membership fee is $20 entitles members to a year's subscription of "Dramatics Magazine", a membership certificate and card, opportunities to compete for recognition and scholarships on the state level, voting rights at all Thespian Society Meetings and free admission to all events.

Meetings

Thespian Society Meetings are held once a month.
