St. Thomas' is the only secondary school in Texas to offer a full, free-standing program in classical Greek as a part of its overall classics curriculum.

In the eighth grade, students may elect to take an introductory course in Classical Greek. This course addresses basic grammar, using Athenaze, Book I and the first 20 lessons of Chase.

Students passing this course with a grade of eighty or above receive one year of high school credit. In grades nine through twelve, students may continue to take advanced levels of Greek.
